Drivers for current versions of Image-Pro, Versions 1.3, 2.0, and 3.0, are available from EPIX. Written by EPIX engineers, the drivers provide as many of the special capabilities of the EPIX cards as is consistent with the Image-Pro feature set.
For the SILICON VIDEO MUX series, the drivers are available for Win 3.x and Win 95, and allow capturing RS-170, CCIR, RS-330 and similar formats.
For the 4MEG VIDEO series, the drivers are available for Win 3.x, Win 95, and Win NT, and allow capturing RS-170, CCIR, RS-330, line scan, area scan, digital and analog formats into as much as 256 megabytes of on-board video memory.
For the PIXCI® SV3, the drivers are available for Win 95, and Win NT, and allow capturing RS-170, CCIR, NTSC, PAL, and S-Video directly into PC memory. With a suitable S/VGA card, under Win 95, live video display on the S/VGA is supported.
For all EPIX imaging cards, the video resolution can be changed, allowing trading lower resolution for more image buffers, or inversely. Consult the EPIX Camera Compatibility Guide for more information about the nonstandard cameras supported by the SILICON VIDEO MUX and 4MEG VIDEO; most of these nonstandard cameras are also supported by the Image-Pro drivers.
