Model 12 IMAGE MEMORY EXPANSION

Picture of the IMAGE MEMORY EXPANSION board Up to 256 Mbytes of image memory can be added to the 4MEG VIDEO Model 12 with the IMAGE MEMORY EXPANSION. Designed for expansion as memory needs increase, the IMAGE MEMORY EXPANSION (IME) is available with 4, 8, 12, 16, 32, 48, 64, 128, 192, or 256 Mbytes of image memory.

The IME enhances the flexibility of the Model 12. Expanded memory capacity offers the potential for more image buffers, longer image capture periods, and higher resolution sequences. Images can be captured at video rates (or slower) for motion analysis and cine loops.

With 256 Mbytes of memory, real time capture of 872 images, 640 pixels by 480 lines, can be performed for storage of 29 seconds of video at 30 fps. 262,144 images of 32 x 32 resolution can be captured at 9400 fps with a non-standard video camera and the 256 Mbyte IME.

Engineered to adapt to expanding imaging requirements, the IME provides upgradable image memory. Three separate base configurations of the IME are available: 4 Mbytes, 16 Mbytes, and 64 Mbytes. The 4 Mbyte IME expands to 8, 12, or 16 Mbytes of memory; the 16 Mbyte IME expands to 32, 48, and 64 Mbytes; and the 64 Mbyte IME expands to 128, 192, and 256 Mbytes.

The IME connects to the 4MEG VIDEO Model 12 and occupies an adjacent slot in the PC. The IME supports all Model 12 camera interfaces operating at data rates between 2 MHz and 30 MHz.
