Buffalo Grove, Illinois EPIX, Inc., manufacturer of PC compatible imaging boards and software, announces software support for Visual Basic 4.0. Now programmers can execute sophisticated imaging functions from within their Visual Basic programs. By using EPIX board control and image processing DLLs, and Visual Basic 4.0, under Windows 3.X, Windows 95, or Windows NT, a Visual Basic program can easily access and control EPIX imaging boards.
The EPIX PIXCI® series of boards is supported using 32 bit Visual Basic 4.0 and the XCOBJIPL DLLs for Windows 95 or Windows NT. The SILICON VIDEO MUX H and 4MEG VIDEO family of boards are supported using either 16 or 32 bit Visual Basic 4.0 and SVOBJIPL or 4MOBJIPL DLLs in Windows 3.X, Windows 95, or Windows NT environments.
EPIX hardware and software products are unique in their ability to acquire images from standard video sources such as RS-170, NTSC, CCIR, PAL, and S-Video; as well as non-standard video sources including line scan, high resolution, high frame rate, area scan, and digital output cameras, as well as medical imaging equipment.
For the benefit of OEMs, Visual Basic 4.0 support is available for all previous as well as current versions of EPIX imaging boards.
