Buffalo Grove, Illinois - EPIX®, Inc., has announced the XCLIB library for Linux.
The $495.00 XCLIB library, for Linux 2.4.8 and later kernels, supports Intel (x86) platforms and allows programmers to easily create customized machine vision, motion analysis, or medical imaging applications. XCLIB for Linux provides the same Application Program Interface as XCLIB for Windows, allowing programmers to easily move from one operating system to another.
This new XCLIB library for Linux supports all versions and options of the EPIX PIXCI imaging boards and cameras including analog cameras: NTSC, RS-170, CCIR, PAL; as well as popular area scan or line scan digital cameras with up to 4kx4k resolution, up to 14 bits per pixel (grey), up to 42 bits per pixel (color), and at rates up to 16,000 frames per second. XCLIB allows capturing full resolution images at full video rate.
Camera manufacturers supported include: Adimec, Atmel-Grenoble, Basler,
Cohu, Dalsa, Dage-MTI, DVC, Hamamatsu, Hitachi, Indigo, Pulnix, Redlake MASD,
Silicon Imaging, SILICON VIDEO(R), Takenaka, Toshiba, Uniq, Varian, and Xybion.
