Buffalo Grove, Illinois - EPIX®, Inc., has announced the SILICON VIDEO® 2112 AND 2112C CMOS cameras.
The $1495.00 CMOS camera development kit provides a plug and play camera, PCI interface board, cable, and off the shelf software for use in biometrics, science, industry, automobiles, quality control, security, plus many other camera imaging solutions. Contained in a small 3" x 2" x 1.5" package which includes a C-Mount Adapter, the SILICON VIDEO® 2112 AND 2112C CMOS cameras provide a simple and cost effective platform for the Zoran sensors. Based on a 2/3" array format, the 2112 series offers an active programmable array resolution of 1288 x 1032 pixels which allows sub-windowing, sub-sampling, mirror and flip modes, analog RGB balance, all at 16 MHz (10 bit output) or user selectable pixel clock frequencies.
The CMOS Camera Development Kit is easy to use - install the PIXCI® board, attach the interface cable between the board and camera, and run the XCAP imaging software. A programmable pixel clock for the camera is generated on the PIXCI® D2X which also supplies power to the camera.
Only a single cable to the camera is used. Together, the PIXCI® D2X frame grabber and SILICON VIDEO® series cameras offer the user the most cost effective and advanced features in an imaging system.
